Leda Devoldere is a Belgian textile designer & colourist born in 1993 and based in Gent, Belgium. After graduating as a master in textile design at KASK, school of arts, she founded ATELIER LEDA: a multiple, vivid colour design studio, focussing on textiles within design, interior, art & the in betweens.
In her work, Leda searches for an interesting balance of colorful combinationsand abstract line compositions.

For this double pillow seat cushion, Leda worked with her fabric pattern ‘blocks’.
For this pattern, she started with the characteristics of industrial circular knitting: two knitted layers with a soft filling in between, giving the fabric a kind of 3D effect with quilted layers. Through her own geometric visual language and love of intersecting lines, she explored the interplay of two- and three-dimensional structures. The color research and line motif proved to be sufficient for endless exploration.
