Tara and Sylvain Bongard settled in Monchique, Algarve, where they created Studio Bongard.

Influenced by natural elements, fauna and human forms, they work in sculpture, developing projects solo or in partnership. Tara (London, 1970) has Portuguese She studied in England, travelled in America, Turkey and the Middle East, and lived for ten years in Israel, where she learned wood and glasswork. Tara settled in Portugal in 2005, where he continues her activity as a sculptor. Sylvain (Geneva, 1959) moved to Portugal in 1970.

He studied in Germany and England, returning to Portugal in the 80’s. In the Algarve countryside he dedicates himself to ceramic sculpture, exploring colors, textures and shapes.
